Savings and Investments FAQs

• I want to increase the regular premium amount that I pay into my policy, how can I do this?

  In order to increase your premium we will require that you submit the following documents:

  • A signed instruction* confirming the revised premium that you wish to pay.
  • A certified copy of your photo identification (Passport or Driver’s Licence).
  • An original or certified copy of a recent utility bill as the proof of your address (dated within the last 12 months).
  • A fully completed Confirmation of Source of Funds and Source of Wealth Form.

  The above documents can be certified by your Sales Advisor, Accountant, Solicitor or by a member of the Garda Siochana. Also, the identification documents must be clearly legible and both sides must be copied (if applicable).

  *Please note that for any policies that are held in joint names, all policy owners and Trustees where relevant must sign the relevant form/request.

• I want to invest an additional single premium amount to my investment policy, what do I need to send you?

  • A cheque or bank draft made payable to New Ireland Assurance.
  • A signed instruction* confirming the Fund(s) that you wish to invest in.
  • A certified copy of your Photo Identification (Passport or Driver’s Licence). An original or certified copy of a recent Utility Bill as the proof of your address (dated within the last 12 months).
  • A fully completed Confirmation of Source of Funds and Source of Wealth Form.

• How can I switch between the different funds available on a Smart Fund policy?

  Should you wish to change the fund(s) that you are currently invested in, please forward a signed instruction* advising of your revised fund choice. It is also possible to amend the fund choice for future premiums or investments only, please specify this in your request. Contact us to discuss this further.
