Sean Casey - Managing Director

Sean Casey was appointed Managing Director of New Ireland Assurance in January 2010. His previous positions included the roles of Finance Director and Appointed Actuary for the Company. He has extensive experience in the life and pensions industry, which has included membership of the Consultative Industry panel to the Financial Regulator, the Life Board of the Irish Insurance Federation and the Council of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland. He is currently President of Insurance Ireland, the representative body for the insurance industry in Ireland.

Sean is a Chartered Director and Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland.

David Swanton  - Product Management

David Swanton joined New Ireland Assurance in 1977 and he has held a number of roles key to the growth of the business in the IT, Operations and Product Development areas. Prior to the merging of New Ireland and Bank of Ireland Life, David held the position of Operations Director.

David is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland.

Dave Swanton

Dave Roberts - Actuarial/ Finance

Dave Roberts was appointed Head of Actuarial/Finance in March 2010. Dave joined the Company in 1997 to work on the Product Development Team. Since then he has been responsible for the Risk Management Team and subsequently the Actuarial Finance Department. Prior to this, Dave spent 10 years working for Mercer Consulting in pensions and investments related roles.

He is a qualified Actuary and holds an MBA from UCD.

Paul O'Callaghan - Information Technology

Paul O'Callaghan was appointed Head of I.T. in December 2013. Paul joined New Ireland Assurance in 1998 in the product management division and has worked in a number of areas across the business, including Actuarial, Product Development and IT. Paul has been a key contributor to the transformation of New Ireland's IT infrastructure in recent years, with a particular focus on meeting the needs of diverse distribution channels.

Paul is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland and has a degree in Theoretical Physics.

Denis Kelleher  - Sales

Denis Kelleher was appointed Director with responsibility for Sales in March 2008. He joined New Ireland in 1996 having previously worked for the Shield Insurance Group and Eagle Star Life. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, a Chartered Insurer, a Qualified Financial Advisor and a Certified Insurance Director.

Denis is a Non Executive Director of the Insurance Institute of Ireland. He is also a member of the Life Insurance Association.

Dennis Kelleher

Ray Bowe - Customer Operations

Ray Bowe was appointed Head of Customer Operations in July 2010. Prior to this role, Ray was the Head of Business Change & Strategy for Bank of Ireland's Wealth Management division. Ray has over 20 years experience in the life and pensions industry and has also held senior management roles in Sales and IT.

Ray is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin, holding a MSc. in Business Administration.

Paul Dalton  - Legal and Compliance

Paul Dalton was appointed Head of Legal and Compliance in October 2010 from Bank of Ireland Group Legal Services where he was Investments Business Partner. Prior to joining the Bank of Ireland in 2008, Paul was a member of the Law Library and previously worked with a number of domestic and international financial institutions including HSBC, J Rothschild International, Mercer and Canada Life.

He is a Barrister-at-Law and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland.

Alison Anderson - Human Resources

Alison Anderson joined New Ireland as Head of Human Resources in April 2014 from Bank of Ireland Group where she had held several senior roles in Human Resources across the UK and Ireland. Prior to joining the Bank of Ireland Group in 2008 Alison held a number of senior HR roles in the Education sector. Alison is a graduate of the University of Ulster and Queens University, Belfast holding a Post Graduate Degree in Human Resource Management and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
