Getting started with mynewireland

You can start your retirement claim through mynewireland, our online customer portal. Simply sign up or log in to your account and follow the guided steps.

You can watch our video here to see how mynewireland works.

Signing up for mynewireland is quick and easy. Simply add your personal details and policy number, and accept the terms and conditions. Once you've created a password, your account is all set up.

If you're a Bank of Ireland Life customer, you can sign up to mynewireland too as Bank of Ireland Life is a trading name of New Ireland, so it's all the one company.

You can set up your password by following a few easy steps:

  1. Choose a strong password that's memorable for you. Try starting with a short phrase or two words that mean something to you. It should be at least 10 characters long. Then add one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, one number and a special character (!).
  2. Confirm your password by typing it into the ‘Confirm Password' field before clicking ‘Next'.
  3. Keep it safe and don't share it with anyone.

You can contact our Customer Service team using the details in the Contact Us section below.

On mynewireland, simply click ‘Forgot your Password' and follow the steps to reset your password.

Your online retirement claim on mynewireland

At retirement, there are several ways you can use your pension fund to support you and your family's needs. The most suitable option for you will depend on a few factors, including:

  • The type of pension you have
  • The size of your pension fund
  • Your income needs at retirement
  • Any other assets or sources of income you may have
  • Whether you want to leave benefits to your dependants
  • Your health

You can request your retirement options from our Customer Service team using the details in the Contact Us section below or from your Financial Broker or Advisor.

Before making your decision, we strongly recommend speaking with a Financial Broker or Advisor to ensure you choose the option that best suits your needs. If you don't have a Financial Broker or Advisor, you can contact our Customer Service team who can make a referral for you.

You should register for mynewireland using your member number and the primary email address you used to sign in to your MyPension365 account. You can find your member number on any correspondence we have sent you about your company pension. If you would like to update your email address, please contact us by email at mypension365admin@newireland.ie.

You'll need to upload the following documents:

  1. Photo ID: A photo of your current passport or current Irish or UK driving licence (we can also accept EU National Identity Cards or current passport travel cards from EU/EEA Countries only).
  2. Personal Public Service Number (PPS): A recent payslip or a letter from Revenue. We cannot accept Public Services Cards as proof of your PPS number.
  3. Bank Account Details and Bank Statement: A current account statement (in your name or a joint account) dated within the last 6 months. You don't need to show any transactions — we only need to clearly see your name, address, BIC and IBAN so we can make payments to the correct account.
  4. Financial Broker or Advisor Details: Your Financial Broker or Advisor's email address.

Important information:

  • If the name on your pension policy doesn't match the name on your photo ID, we'll need a copy of your marriage or civil partnership registration certificate so we can update your details.
  • If you've recently changed your address, make sure your bank statement shows your current updated address as we will also use this statement as verification to amend your address on our system.

Well done — you're one step closer to retirement.

Your claim will now be sent to your Financial Broker or Advisor, who will take care of the next steps for you.

Once they have reviewed everything, they'll send you any relevant forms by email via Docusign to review, confirm and sign. After you've signed them, your Financial Broker or Advisor will submit your claim for processing by our Retirement Claims team.

You can keep an eye on how things are progressing by visiting the My Requests on your mynewireland dashboard.
