New Ireland Assurance helps Cork Camogie kick-off 2017 championship season
Cork inter-county senior camogie players Ashling Thompson and Rena Buckley were on hand to launch the second year of the New Ireland Assurance sponsorship and to also mark the start of their 2017 Championship season. Cork Camogie, who are looking to return to All-Ireland winning glory later this year, will face Tipperary this Saturday 10th June.
We are now in the second year of our three year sponsorship with the rebel county, the sponsorship includes the senior, intermediate, minor and U16A and U16B inter-county camogie teams. The event, held in the Maryborough Hotel, Cork also marked the unveiling of the 2017 Hall of Fame, where former Cork camogie stars Paula Goggins, Stephanie Dunlea Murphy, Liz Towler Meaney, Jennifer O’Leary were honoured for their contribution, commitment and dedication to the game in Cork.
