PruFunds – Positive UPA announcement

On 28 May 2024 Prudential made the following Unit Price Adjustment (UPA) announcement:

What has driven this UPA announcement?

• The smoothing process is formulaic and non-discretionary. There is a Daily Smoothing Limit and a Quarterly Smoothing Limit for both funds comparing the smoothed and unsmoothed prices of each fund.

• When a fund breaches its smoothing corridor on the monthly/quarterly date this triggers a UPA. When the Quarterly Smoothing Limit is breached, the price differential between the unsmoothed and smoothed prices is halved, leading to a new smoothed price.
